Walk. Ride. Thrive.
Cheshire West and Chester Council has launched the Walk. Ride. Thrive campaign to encourage more people to enjoy a summer of active travel and to share their views on cycling and walking in the borough.
Have your say – we want to see as many people as possible benefit from Walk, Ride, Thrive and want this to be as inclusive and accessible as possible. We encourage you to be in touch with how the scheme, and the Council’s active travel plans, can benefit you and your community.
Our borough has seen a dramatic fall in traffic volumes during the coronavirus pandemic, with walking and cycling playing an increasingly important role in more and more lives. Residents are getting more exercise, enjoying the outdoors and traffic congestion has almost been eliminated, whilst air pollution has significantly dropped.
The Council is seeking views and suggestions on how communities can emerge from the pandemic even brighter than before as part of the ‘Stronger Futures’ initiative.
