Our Partners

Age-friendly Cheshire West is hosted by Cheshire West and Chester Council and overseen by a core group of strategic partners.

Our Age-friendly core group is a collaborative group of representatives of; older adults, Council, NHS, community organisations and the University of Chester.

  • oversees the work of Age-friendly Cheshire West
  • reports to the Health and Wellbeing Board
  • acts as an expert reference group
  • leads on areas of member expertise.

Cheshire West and Chester Council

Age UK Cheshire

Age UK Cheshire is a local social enterprise and charity that is dedicated to later life. We co-produce excellent services, make opportunities, connect people meaningfully and influence positive change. Because of our work, people love later life in Cheshire.

Brightlife Cheshire

Brightlife is one of fourteen Ageing Better National Lottery Community funded programmes testing and learning from new approaches to supporting people aged over 50 experiencing or at risk of social isolation and loneliness. Brightlife is working with partners in Winsford and across areas of Chester to help reduce loneliness and social isolation and enable people to live happier and healthier lives. Brightlife is a 5 year project running from April 2015 – March 2020.

Vivo Care Choices

Vivo provides a range of flexible and responsive support for adults with learning disabilities and autism and older people, including those with dementia. Vivo prides itself in giving people the best opportunities in life and aims to play its role in making sure Chester West and Chester is age-friendly.

Cheshire Community Action

Supporting people and improving wellbeing in rural communities across Cheshire West and Chester.
